This is the book by laura mulvey

Description
The essays collected in this book reflect some of the commitments and changes during the period that saw the women's movement shift into feminism and the development of feminism's involvement with the politics of representation, psychoanalytic film theory and avant-garde aesthetics. The essays also tell, implicitly, a personal story: of someone very gradually learning to express themselves in writing through feminism and becoming visibly more articulate over the course of time. Central to the collection is Mulvey's famous polemic 'Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema'.

Hey!

There seems to be a lot of research done on this blog on the chosen subject but you have to make sure that most of it links back the question so you have a concise collection of notes on what to write. You will a lot to talk about for the 3 main protagonist so it would be a good idea to just talk about them and also look at how they are all different but still similar.

Laters!

hey ,
your blog is very detailed, well presented and has some useful links
what i think in particular which will be useful to my research is the bit about women in the 1950s
which will come in good use for my historical texts
to improve just add the trailer ( the one you wanted to put on your powerpoint presentation.)

hi heena

-Your research on women in the past is really good.
-You have detailed migrain notes.
-You'v done loads of reasearch! And your blog has loads of differents stuff going on like, pictures, links etc..
-You could improve on by talkin about other texts that link to your question, kill bill, tomb raider- and talk about how women are seen more independent.

Keep Up The Work!

Hey Heena!!

Its really good that you have researched into what books will be useful to your study. As not many people have done that.

Also, its good how you have researched women in different years. This shows how you are focusing deeply on the change on women.

To Improve, maybe put up a trailer or some clips from the film which you think are useful.
